Virgin Money Launch in SA

Black River F.C. won the Virgin Money account in 2005. It was such an exciting and awesome experience to design everything from scratch for this already reputable brand in South Africa. I designed most of the BTL elements including the credit cards, brochures, the various welcome packs, courier uniforms, background patterns, corporate identity and other collateral items. The Virgin brand is well known for their sexiness and quirky sense of humour. These characteristics appealed to my type of humour and inspired me to write some of my own copy lines on a few of the elements. The business cards, the welcome pack, button badges and the envelope stickers, just to name a few.

Sales Brochure

Credit Cards

Courier Uniform

Welcome Pack (VIP Envelope)
The welcome packs are delivered once an application for a credit card has been made and approved. The pack consist of a welcome brochure, a terms & conditions brochure, and your new credit card.

Welcome Pack (Jewellery Box)
The Welcome Brochure (white) and the T&C brochure both have an embossed logo and a spot UV varnish of the pattern.

Stationary (General)

Compliment Slip

Envelopes & Envelope Stickers
Virgin Money wanted their envelopes to have a "Virginesque" appeal to it. So instead a costly expense of printing many envelopes with Virgin "quirky" lines on, I decided to make a sticker sheet with various copy lines on that both seal the envelope and create a new "Virginesque" everytime someone opened a VM envelope.

Collateral (Notebooks, Tear-Off Memo Rolls, Button Badges, Coasters etc...)

Blingola TV Ad
Ok so if i was to be totally honest, I'd have to say that I didn't really have much to do with this. Just my occasional 2 cents worthwhen a diamante was out of lace or something. The reason that i have included it here is just so one can get a full impact of the campaign and how some of the BTL elements were carried thru to the ATL.

For the ATL we created a ficticious pimping, glamourous VIP African country based on the excessive lifestyles of the rich and famous. We called it Blingola...
